Services

Dementia Care

  • Supervision – frequent observation of residents’ daily functioning. Our staff are trained in dementia care and are able to respond to the needs of residents with memory impairment. Safety is our primary responsibility with residents with memory impairment.
  • Know the residents well enough to catch those subtle little changes that often mean “something’s wrong”.
  • Realize that although a resident may not remember our name, they know that we can be trusted and relied upon for safe and prompt care.
  • Understand that dementia is a progressive disease and family members need the support and confidence the staff have as the journey continues.

Activities

  • Leisure time activities – designed to provide meaningful experiences for residents who enjoy small group or individual activities. We continue to offer a variety of non-competitive activities that persons with dementia can still enjoy. Individual personal interests and hobbies are encouraged.
  • Community activities – provide opportunities to socialize outside of the facility and enjoy activities offered within the community.
  • Family and social contacts – provide an environment that encourages social gatherings for family and friends.
